A description of the carburetor Venturi

In previous posts I have explained the construction of the carburetor, you can read here first. For now I will explain in more detail about the construction of the carburetor venturi. Venturi is a narrowed area in the carburetor. For more details, you notice the picture below.

In the picture above there are two models of carburetors, carburetor carburetor motorcycle is right and the left image is the carburetor on the car. The two images above have clearly shown a venturi like the blue arrows. But venturi shown by the arrow is a venturi with a fixed or also known as fixed venturi.

However venturi above is just one of the venturi shape of the carburetors. Another addition is a venturi venturi variable. This venturi type carburetor motorcycle in the space formed between the barrel with skepticism / throttle valve. Therefore, in the car carburetor, variable venturi formed by the barrel room with a throttle valve. For clarity consider the picture below!

Oil Pump on matic transmission

On equipped with matic transmission oil pump that is useful to circulate matic transmission oil. Matic transmission components teridri above:

1. Rotor: is a component that rotates to suck and push matic transmission oil. The rotor is driven by a pump impeller of the torque convertor.
2. Stator is a stationary component and together - together with the rotor form a suction chamber and the press.
3. Oil pump housing is a component that is home or the casing of the rotor and stator. In this component there is also the outlet and inlet matic transmission oil. This component is tied to the Transmission housing with screw connection.

So my brief explanation about the components - the components of the oil pump on matic transmission. Hopefully useful to you in learning matic transmission.

Automatic Transmission

Matic transmission that I will discuss is the transmission used in cars, not motorcycles. Matic transmission comprising:

1. torque convertor: matic transmission is a component of the forward rotation of the flywheel or the flywheel to the transmission input shaft. Or can we call also in terms of coupling to matic transmission.

2. Oil pump: is the component of transmission that is useful to circulate matic transmission oil into components - Other matic transmission components. Matic transmission oil is breguna as a media drive to create the component - matic transmission components can work or not work.

3. Planetary gear units: is a component of matic transmission that allows you to modify and increase the power and speed of rotation of the engine to the wheels, in order to propel the car in accordance with the needs of driving. In short this component consists of gear - gear that allows you to change the rotation speed of the engine.

4. control valve body: is the component that allows you to regulate the flow of transmission oil to flow into components - matic transmission components for work or not work. These components like the CPU of a matic transmission.

So my brief explanation regarding matic transmission.

Construction carburetor

For now I will discuss about how the construction of the carburetor. The explanation this time is to help you in learning the next carburetor. Okay I was just on the explanation of the construction of the carburetor.

Section - the carburetor:
• Barrel is the space where the flow of air into the inlet (intake manifold). In numbers there is a single carburetor and some are two.
• Venturi is an area on the barrel is narrow. The purpose of this venturi is to increase suction power for gasoline in the carburetor float in the tub can be sucked into the intake manifold.
• Jet or pilot is part of the carburetor which is useful for gas suction line from the carburetor float tanks and as a place of air mixing with gasoline.
• Body buoy is a place to accommodate gasoline while inside the carburetor, before it is mixed with air.
• buoy system is the valve on the carburetor that allows you to adjust the amount of gasoline in the float bath.
So my brief explanation about the construction of the carburetor, so it can help you to learn the carburetor at the next level.

Steering gear

Steering gear is a component of the steering system that allows you to straighten the front wheels and also to increase the moment of the steering wheel, so that the steering becomes lighter. Steering gear consists of a gear or teeth that are useful as gear reduction so that the moment of driving the increase.
Teeth in the steering gear ratio is between 18 to 20:1 means 18 turns the steering wheel the same lap times will result in a Pitman arm. But for the ratio of 20:1 means the steering wheel is 20 rounds will produce 1 time round Pitman arm.
Surely you are confused what is a Pitman arm ..? I will first explain the construction of the steering gear, so you know what the Pitman arm.

Before I explain the construction is a good idea to first know the various steering gear is:

* Recirculating ball type (this type used on a large haulage vehicles)

* Rack and pinion type (this type used on vehicles with a light haulage)

How to calculate the ratio of the steering for both types of the above is:
* For the recirculating ball type formula is: number of steering wheel rotation equals the number of Pitman arm movement.

* To Rack and pinion type formula is: number of rounds equal to the amount of steering wheel turns the front wheel angle.

Torque convertor

Torque convertor is a hydraulic clutch that is in use on the automatic clutch. on a car that uses automatic machine, certainly do not have a clutch lever. but that does not mean a car that uses automatic transmission does not use the clutch. many people consider that automatic cars are not using the clutch, but in fact they are wrong.

From the picture above, you can see that the construction of Torque convertor very simple.
Components of the Torque convertor consists of PUM impeller, stator and, Turbine Runner.

* Pump impeller is a component associated with the oil pump in automatic transmission, pump impeller with welded joints permanently fastened to the flywheel.

* The stator is a component that allows you to double its oil power in the Torque convertor for the machine does not become dead weight and play at the start of transmission.

* Turbine Runner is a component related to the transmission input shaft.

In this convertor Torque in which there is oil or oil as the fluid rotation of the flywheel successor to the transmission.

* How it Works Torque Convertor:

When the round is still slow runner turbiner:

At the time the new machine live the first time that rotates on convertor torque is the component impeller pump. Pump impeller are permanently connected to the flywheel using welded joints. While living at the time the new engine turbine runner is still in a stationary position. When the pump impeller rotates, the oil in the torque convertor will be stirred. This will make turbiner runners become involved spinning slowly - land. But the rotation of the turbine runner is still slow. This will make the pump impeller get a load, if this is allowed then the engine will die. Because the rotation of the pump impeller suspended, automatically turns the flywheel will be captured as well that can make the machine becomes slow and eventually die. That is why the torque convertor paired stator, where the stator there are bearings that work in one direction. That these bearings can only rotate in one direction only, whereas in the opposite direction of this bearing will not rotate. Use of this stator is turned toward the return flow of oil from the turbine runner to the pump impeller. The direction of this return will make the pump impeller will increase strength, because the direction of return oil is directed to encourage the pump impeller. So at this stator does not rotate.
This also occurs when the position moved to the position of the transmission lever into gear.

When the runner is fast lap turbiner:

When the runner is fast lap turbiner alias the same as rotation pump impeller, the flow of oil from turbiner runner will not be deflected more. The flow of lubricating oil is going straight. And pump impeller, stator and turbiner runner rotates in the same rotation speed.

How it works and the construction of the coil ingnition

Ignition coil or in the Indonesian language interpreted by the ignition coil is a component of the ignition system that allows you to raise the voltage of the battery is 12 volts into high voltage 10 KVolt or more. Ignition Coil in a critical size that occurs in the spark plug ignition.

By construction ingnition coil comprising:
1. Cable Positive: Part of the coil are connected with cables that have a positive electrical current, to the circuit in the positive cable cars connected by cables to the fuse.
2. Negative cable: Part of the coil connected by wires to the distributor (for the ignition system on the car)
3. Secondary coil: coil which form part of the cable winding number of coil windings more than the primary.
4. Primary coil is: which form part of the coil winding wire windings that amount less than the secondary coil.
5. Secondary is part of the coil which is connected with high voltage wires to the distributor (for cars). As for the secondary motorcycle big black cables are connected directly to the spark plugs.
How it works coil which I discussed here are the series of ignition system on the car using the platinum:
1. When electric current flows into the positive, then the primary winding will be electrified. This will cause the magnetism in the primary winding. An electric current will flow from the primary winding to the negative terminal.
2. At platinum open, then the relationship between the negative terminal to the masses will be disconnected. Areus power of positive current will not flow into the primary winding. This will lead to magnetism at primary lillitan be lost. With the loss of magnetism at the primary winding, then arises the induction of the secondary winding. Where the secondary winding will generate electricity with very high voltage. Electricity generated at the secondary winding will be channeled to the secondary terminal to be forwarded to the high voltage cable.
For ignition with CDI, coil workings remain the same. That in principle the cause of induction of secondary windings, resulting in power at the secondary winding with a very high voltage.

Steering Column

The theme of this lesson is an explanation of the steering column. Steering column is one component of the steering system on the car. Steering column is part of the steering system that connects the steering wheel to the steering gear box. Steering column consists of the main shaft, the shaft driving the wheel of the forward motion of the steering wheel to the steering gear box. So actually the steering column is a pipe sleeve that holds the steering shaft play in driving forward motion.
On car steering column is paired with the bracket and fastened to the body of the car. Installation and manufacture of steering column is to be regarded with care, because the steering column must be designed to absorb the thrust into the steering wheel, when the collision occurred. So in the design of steering column is to be regarded with care - really for the safety of the driver when the collision occurred. In one particular car type steering column is designed, can come down when the collision occurred, so that the safety of the driver can be maintained.
In addition to the driver's attention to safety factors, there are few cars that make the vehicle or its steering column can be set in accordance with the right driving position. On Tilt type steering, the driver can adjust the steering wheel in a vertical, by shifting the steering wheel in a vertical position. While on type Telescopic steering, the driver can set long-and short steeriung column, so the driver can keep or hold the steering wheel position.

Transmission Mods

Modification of transmission is often known to alter or add to its gear ratio. Once you know how to calculate gear ratio, then you can make changes by changing the gear ratio. But not only that to develop and modify transmissions, there are a few tips that I will give to you in modifying transmission. Let me just on the tips that I will give as well as explanations:

1. Changing the gear ratio
This is often done by adding the ability modifiers in either vehicle motorcycle or car. If the ratio of gear teeth into - 4 of your vehicle is 1, then you can turn them into higher, eg 0.9 or 0.8, and so on. But I remind you, the excessive increase of gear ratio will make your vehicle's engine becomes exhausted alias lackluster. To simplify my explanation, then I suppose that with a mountain bike with a lot of teeth - teeth that can be moved - moved. I'm sure you all must have seen and may never have a mountain bike. If we want to start pedaling a mountain bike, then we will use a large gear ratio. The point is to make the composition of the front teeth using a small gear, while the rear teeth using a big gear. Certainly the composition of teeth will make you a light in pedaling a bicycle, but bicycles can not be sped by quickly. After the bike is running, you certainly will increase your bike speed by changing the composition of teeth, that is changing the front teeth with teeth larger. Your bike will go faster than ever before. Then you also will increase the speed again, by changing his front teeth became larger, and your bike will go much faster again, so onward. But there are times where the tooth arrangement which continues to be enlarged on his front teeth, you have exhausted or sluggish, and eventually you lose to a big gear arrangement in accordance with the ability of your energy. Similarly, the engine, just like you. The machine has a maximum power capability that remains constant alias, so if the change gear ratio gearnya too excessive, the engine can be sluggish.

2. Enlarging the diameter of gear transmission
You certainly still remember the parable of the lever at the time in school physics lessons first. For objects can be easily lifted, then lever the lever must be made longer. Similarly, the change in the diameter of the transmission gear will make personnel changes, such as for example the lever lever. Greater diameter, the same as a long lever lever. Meanwhile, the smaller the diameter, the same as the short lever lever. The conclusion by creating a larger gear diameter, will make the engine into a lighter in a vehicle wheel. And usually a vehicle that uses a larger gear transmission will make certain teeth into a long breath. For example on one tooth that has a large diameter, it can reach speeds of 50 km / h, while the teeth are small diameter only reached 20 km / hr. But you need to consider also changes in the diameter of this gear will make the arrangement of gear transmission becomes greater. For that into account also the place or the home of such transmission.

Torque Convertor

Torque convertor is a hydraulic clutch that is used on automatic transmission. In a car that uses matic transmission, certainly has no clutch pedal. But that does not mean a car that uses matic transmission does not use the clutch. Many of the community generally considers that the car does not wear matic clutch, but in fact they are wrong, because it really does not use the clutch pedal, but still use the clutch. And now I will explain the construction of the torque convertor.

Construction convertor torque:
From the picture above, you can see that the construction of the torque convertor very simple. Components - convertor torque component consists of pump impeller, stator and turbiner runner.
• Pump impeller is a component associated with the oil pump on matic transmission. Pump impeller with welded joints permanently fastened to the flywheel or the flywheel.
• The stator is a component that allows you to double its oil power in the torque convertor, so the machine does not become dead weight and play at the beginning of transmission.
• Turbine Runner is a component associated with the transmission input shaft.
In this convertor torque in it there is oil or oil as the fluid rotation of the flywheel successor to the transmission.

Construction Manual Transmission

Today in particular I will explain specifically about the construction of a manual transmission to vehicles, especially cars, to motorcycles in fact almost the same, there is little difference only. Before starting this discussion, you should first recognize the power transfer systems or power train, making it easier for you in understanding this material. In the car we know there are some power transfer system, namely FF, FR, RR and 4 WD. Each type uses a different transmission. For the FR vehicle (front engine, rear drive) using the transmission, while for type FR, RR and 4WD use transaxlePastinya to who are beginners in learning the transmission, confused by the second term above. I will immediately explain just about the construction of transmission and transaxle.

Transmission Construction
1. Clutch housing is a cover for the components - clutch components are mounted on the flywheel or the flywheel. In the clutch housing is also mounted components - components that drive the clutch fork (which is useful to suppress relaease bearing). Clutch housing front section attached to the machine using the connection bolts.
2. Transmission case is the house where the installation of the output shaft, counter shaft gear and the tooth - teeth other transmissions. Transmission case is filled with useful transmission oil to lubricate the rotating gear transmission and other transmission components such as bearings, etc..
3. Counter shaft and counter gear is a transmission gear arrangement which rotates to produce the ratio of teeth with a tooth - teeth the other transmission.
4. The output shaft is the transmission component that allows you to continue the rotation transmission ratio to the propeller shaft.
5. Input transmission shaft is a component that receives the round of coupling and k meneruskannay teeth - tooth transmission to change the speed and torque.
6. Gear shift is mechanisme transmission component that allows you to manage relationships tooth - teeth in the transmission that works on every level of a certain acceleration. Mechanisme Gear shift is driven by the driver via the gear lever.
7. Extension housing is a component of the transmission output shaft cover or shield from dust or dirt. Or more simply we refer to as the back cover of the transmission.
Construction transaxle
You can see that as a general construction is the same transaxle transmission, but the transaxle, there is one additional component of the differential assembly. Semuan other components are the same transaxle transmission.

Knowing in detail Radiator

Now I will explain the construction and function of the radiator is used in cooling systems. As you may know that the radiator is a place to accommodate the cooling fluid used to cool the engine. This fluid is different - there are kinds of uses special liquid cooling, but some are using water only.

The construction consists of the radiator tank top, the middle tank and the tank bottom. On tank top is a hose pipe connected to that channel water from the engine coolant. While in the middle tank terdapar cooling pipe rolling and fin are made useful to reduce the heat from the engine cooling water. This cooling water will flow on to lower radiator tank. . At the bottom of this tank there is pipe the output to be connected with hoses to the water pump. In short the flow of cooling water in the radiator is as follows: Water cooling of the engine will go through a pipe on the tank top and then fill the tank top. This cooling water will flow into the cooling pipe at the tank center to reduced temperature. Then it will enter the cooling water into the tank bottom, then sucked out of the tank bottom due to water pump (coolant pump) work.

How to calculate gear ratio transmission

Gear ratio or gear ratio is a number that indicates the level of the small size of the teeth on the transmission. This gear ratio will determine the acceleration resulting from the combination of teeth - the teeth in the transmission, on each - each level of acceleration. In a motorcycle transmission generally uses a combination of two gear to produce a level of acceleration. While the cars generally use a combination of four or more teeth to produce a level of acceleration. Suppose the speed of gear 1, the change in acceleration of the clutch to the transmission output shaft using a combination of 4 teeth (for cars). Teeth - tooth eye tooth has a different number on each - each tooth. The number of teeth of different eyes - the difference is what will make a difference in the rotation and power transmission.

Now I will just discuss how to calculate gear ratio:
1. combination of 2 teeth
For a combination of two teeth we use the formula:
gear ratio = B: A

2. combination of 4 teeth
For the combination of 4 teeth we use the formula:
gear ratio = (B: A) x (D: C)

3.kombinasi 5 teeth
For a combination of five teeth we use the formula;
gear ratio = (B: A) x (E: C) x (D: E)

Example:
A number of gears is 10, B = 30, C = 20, D = 40

gear ratio = (30: 10) x (40: 20)
= 3 x2
= 6

So gearnya ratio is 6, the point is 6 times round the clutch will generate 1 output turns on the transmission output shaft.

Piston Ring End Gap Between

Piston rings are not made fully connected like a bracelet, but one part is cut. This piece makes a piston ring as a bracelet that is lost on one side. The purpose of this is breaking piston rings for piston rings have a gap for expansion at the moment to conduct heat. This gap will be changed to change depending on the size of the cylinder wall expansion due to heat in the engine. Standard gap which is generally at room temperature is 0.2 to 0.5 mm. As not all piston ring gap is the same, depending on the specifications and characteristics of each - each machine.

At the time of the cylinder block in oversized then the gap between the end of the piston ring which is the basis of measurement. The cylinder will dikorter or in oversized to the size of the gap between the end of the piston ring reaches the size of 0.2 to 0.5 mm. When you do the inspection on the cylinder block, the piston ring gap can be used as the basis of examination and measurement to determine whether the cylinder block in korter necessary or not. If the gap between the end of the piston rings exceeds the standard, then it should dikorter cylinder block and pistons and piston rings must be replaced with a larger size.
Gap between the tip of the excessive piston ring will make the engine compression capability will come down, otherwise if the gap between the end of the piston ring is too small will make a curved piston rings when the heat and make the cylinder walls become damaged. Bending piston ring is due to the hot engine, causing expansion of piston rings. Since the end of the piston rings are too narrow, the space for the expansion piston ring becomes less and result in bent piston rings.

Components - Main Components Brake Disc

Components - The main component consists of a disc brake disc, caliper, and brake pad. Thirdly it is a component - the main component of brake discs used on the car. For this time I will only discuss the type of disc brakes on the car alone. Well I will explain the components - these components one by one.

Disc is a disc brake component that allows you to receive the grit from brake pad during braking done. This disc is connected with car wheels through the bolt connection. So when the car is running and the wheel rotates, the disc also rotates.

Disc brake caliper is the component that allows you to receive the forward braking force of brake fluid to put pressure on the brake pad. On the caliper there is a piston which receives the pressure of brake fluid and will move forward out to push the brake pad. Caliper attached to the chassis of the car and did not move or say anything at the time the wheel spins.

Brake pad is pressing the brake components and contact with the disc. This brake pad attached to the caliper brake and can move back and forth when the piston in the caliper pressing. Brake pad more often referred to as brake.

Muffler Exhaust System

Automobile exhaust is one of the existing components on the car that serves as the conduit for flue gas. Automobile exhaust also affects the performance of the engine, if the position and its construction does not fit the machine's performance will go down as well if we want to maximize the machine work, many asthmatic car made modifications to the waste channel.

In our automobile exhaust installation can not be arbitrary, there is a maximum size of the diameter of the exhaust pipe is allowed. Maximum size is to maintain a balance between the speed of the exhaust gas with the amount of exhaust gas. Too small size means the diameter of the gas velocity decreases dump large amounts only, whereas if too large diameter exhaust, then dump the gas velocity low despite the high number of dump gas.

From the side of the car, the exhaust is very vital role. In addition to regular machine service, service kanlpot also do not forget the goal is done periodically to keep that always exhausts in good condition. Many car users who come to the garage the car to make modifications to the header, the diameter and length of main pipe and the Collector. Because by doing modifiaksi in this section, the torque and power bands will change.

In addition, automobile exhaust also serves to establish the roar of the engine sound, There are two parts of exhaust systems that determine the tone of voice, the resonator and muffler. Do changes in these two parts will change the sound character of our cars without compromising performance (torque and Power Bands.)

Resonator placed behind the collector (headers) or behind the Catalytic Converter (CAT). Resonator working principle is to use this method of wave reflection and which will determine the basic tone of voice. The longer the resonator, the more the waves are reflected / reflected that interact with the wave coming, so the sound becomes small.

There are three types Muffler or silencer to get different voices - different. That is chambered (there is room divider / barrier), Straight-Through, Twin-Pass (Double Tail Pipe).

Generally for the resonator is not equipped with glass wool for combustion exhaust gas in place was still hot (refrigeration not yet complete). So a good cooling is needed, otherwise the gas leakage will occur.

Usually the leakage would occur if the packing of the connection has been burned, although only small but it will affect the performance of our automobile exhaust. Therefore always check the exhaust manifold gaskets. Collector's Connection to the pipe behind it.

How to install your own car amplifiers

To get maximum satisfaction in car audio, you definitely need an amplifier, also if you plan to install you must install a subwoofer amplifier. Install the amplifier is not as hard as you think, can save more money than having to install it in stores by myself and pairs better, how to install the amplifier following:

1. The first step
Decide where you will install the amplifier. If you plan to install a subwoofer, amplifier pairs as close as possible to the subwoofer, if only just speakers, amplifiers can be placed under the front passenger seat

2. The second step
Prepare the following cable to the amplifier mounting
* Power cord () red color, size according to the specifications listed in the manual amplifier, usually stated in units of AWG (the smaller the AWG value the greater the diameter of the cable, sample sizes smaller than 8 AWG to 4 AWG wire size). To 500watt RMS power capacity is usually recommended to use size 4 AWG power cable. For measuring length distance from the battery to the amplifier, keep cable lengths as efficient as possible, for easy and neat arrangement of cables.
* Fuse audioJangan forget to put "fuse" (fuse) on the power cable () is red, the ideal distance for the installation of a fuse is usually around 45cm measured from the battery position (), install a fuse with 60Ampere size, type of fuse for audio lots sold in the market.
* Cable ground (-) white color as big as the size of the power cable (4 AWG) with a length of not more than 90cm
* JackKabel RCA RCA audio cable, according to the channel in 2 channel amplifier ya klo buy 2, klo 4channel yes buy 4, and so on ...
*Remote signal cable that connects the head unit with a power amplifier, no need large size, fairly small cable wrote, about 18 - 8 AWG
* Speaker cables, subwoofer cables if you plan on installing it
* Terminal cable fork model

3. The third step
Prepare the following tools to start work
* Screwdrivers plus (), screwdriver min (-)
* Tang cut, cutter
* Isolation and following soldering tin

4. Step four
Remove your head unit from the dashboard, check the cord sequence
Remove the speaker from the stand for your ease in cable after finish

Tips & Warnings

1. Head unit is a cassette player or cd playet available in the dashboard of your vehicle.
2. Old model head unit does not have RCA jacks, so you need an amplifier that has a speaker input not RCA inputs
3. Read the installation instructions amplifier, usually there is information that can help you ease in installation, such as wire size, fuse size, etc.
4. Speaker factory default is usually less able to receive power from the amplifier, you should look for speakers who have upgraded in accordance with the capacity to be your amplifier pair.

Installation

1. The first step
Unplug min (-) battery
Do this always when you are working on electrical system on your vehicle to avoid a short-circuit
2. Connect the red wire () of the battery, plug fuse (45cm after the battery), proceed with connecting wires coming out of the fuse to the amplifier () 12Volt DC. To avoid the distortion earned positive cable () is not close to RCA cable, or with the speaker cable.
3. Connect the ground wires on the bolts that attached dibodi, make sure the bolts are good condition, not rusty, sandpaper the surface of the body until you see the iron plate, attach the ground wires and bolts.
4. Remove the head unit and plug the remote cable contained in the head unit to the amplifier, then plug the RCA jacks are also located at the back of the head unit, make sure the correct position (left speaker and right speaker).
5. Continue to install the speaker cable (use insulation paper and mark it for () and (-), and attach the speaker wires on the terminal () amplifier and (-) amplifier using sekun and solder to be strong and neat.
6. When you install a subwoofer, subwoofer cable () and (-) and adjust them as well as in the amplifier.
7. Make sure the amplifier has been seated properly, note also the air circulation around the amplifier, because the amplifier easy to heat, and need adequate space, intended for long-lasting shelf life amplifier.
8. Replace the cable min (-) battery, set the volume on the head unit's low, then Rev step by step, test the resulting sound on each speaker, before you straighten your job.

3 Hot Tips on Having Your Car Towed

No one likes to think about the possibility of having their car towed. It is usually something which is associated with a legal problem or if your car is not working properly. This is why whenever you hear someone say they had to get a tow, it has negative connotations. No matter what the reason you are having your car towed, there are a few pieces of advice you should follow to make sure that you are getting the best tow possible. While it may seem that a tow is a tow, they are in fact, quite different.

Not all tow companies are the same and not every truck has the ability to keep your car safe. When you are investing in having your car towed, it is important that you get exactly what you want and that you protect your car from being injured from the tow. This is possible when you follow a few pieces of advice. It is your car and you deserve to get what you are paying for when you hire a company to tow your car.

1. Use a Flat Bed - The first thing you should know when having your car towed is that the flat bed is the best kind of method for having your car towed. This is because the flat bed will keep your car off of the ground and will reduce the risk your car will be damaged while it is on its way to the repair shop or to the next destination. The tie downs on the flat be will consist of a few points on the car which were designed just for this use. These are the same points which were used when the car was delivered to the dealership and they will help to insure that your car arrives safely at its destination.

2. Be There - One big mistake people make is to not be there when their car is being towed. While you might lead a busy life, it is important that you are there when you are having your car towed. This is because anything can happen when you are not there. The person doing the tow might do something which is completely against regulation. They might scrape the car on the pavement when they are loading the car. They may even try to use another tow method than what you prescribed. You will never know and you will have no recourse unless you are there.

3. Research the Company - Look for a tow company which has a history of towing cars correctly. This is important so that you can be assured that they will treat your car correctly. Simply take a look online or contact the better business bureau. This will help to make sure that there are no hidden charges and that they will treat your car properly while it is being picked up and delivered to the location that you have chosen for repairs or otherwise.

If you are looking for honest advice, prioritized repairs, options on repairs, maximized fuel economy, and a good feeling with who you are doing business with go to http://www.westsideautopros.com

Axle Stands Are Needed For A Safe Repair

If you like to do most of the things on your car that a mechanic does, it won't take long and you will need to perform some kind of maintenance or repair where you have to work under your car. That's why it is a must that you have axle stands that can handle your car's weight so you are safe while working under your car. A reliable and durable set of these stands should be present in your tool kit since this car tool can save your life. These stands can prevent the scenario where you are working on your car and the jack slides down and the car falls on your head.

When you are looking for axle stands, there are two factors that you should evaluate. First of all, you should check how much weight the axle stand can handle based on its design and the second factor is the area size of the base. All axle stands show the amount of weight they can handle on the packaging and this figure is also stamped on the axle's frame. It is surprising how the stand can support such great weight even if it's just a light stand. Actually, it's because of how the engineers designed it. The engineers include bracing in all places where it is needed so that the weight from the post where the car is resting can be transferred to the floor or the ground underneath it.

The axle stands that you can buy have load limit that usually range between 8000 and 10,000 pounds and these are enough for most automobiles. Heavy highway trucks and construction equipment require more heavy duty stands in order to have the support needed while they are held up. You can find the axle stand for your application in any auto parts store.

The base is another factor that you should evaluate. One thing you should never think of doing is to jack a car or support it while it's on a side hill position. The gravity forces can easily effect the car's stability and it can easily slide off from its supports. Also, make sure that the surface is hard so that the stands do not go into the ground and tip over. The base of the axle stand should be spacious enough to give a good and stable fitting for your car. The available stands in the market are already tested to determine if they can handle lateral support so you don't have to worry if you use it on a hard and level surface.

If you are planning to do any maintenance or repair work on your car be sure to buy a good set of axle stands. Before you know it you will be wanting to crawl under your car for something and this is very dangerous if the car is not supported correctly. In some locations these are called jack stands but they are really the same thing.

Interior Car Repair From Rain Spoilage

Have you ever made the mistake of keeping your car windows open only to find out that it rained during the night? You can usually tell that there is a problem if you open your car door and get this really nauseating smell.

Some of the things that you should immediately think about include whether or not you have insurance for rain damage and if you should consider calling a professional car repairer.

Think about the reason why you left your car window open in the first place. If it is more than just a matter of forgetting - for instance the windows won't roll back up - then you need to get this fixed right away.

The worst thing, in my opinion, about wet car interiors is the way they smell. Get a couple of odor bombs to get rid of this. A good quality mold remover should also do the trick.

You can go to a professional cleaner to get the upholstery and the carpet cleaned. See to it that they use an odor remover.

If you wish to do the car interior repair on your own, take out the wet seats and the wet carpets. Extract water from these, you can find a water extractor that is being rent out. If you cannot find any, a vacuum can work fine.

Vinegar should be able to help you with the odor from the seats. Take them with you inside the house so you can find a warm room to dry them in. If you can no longer dry the seats, consider getting new ones or at least have them reupholstered.

Once you have dry carpets and dry seats again, inspect if there is any odor left. You can do the same thing you did in step one and use more odor bombs.

See to it that the car floors have not rusted. Use a sealant to keep rust from accumulating.

Diagnosing Automotive Problems By Listening To Your Car's Noises

When your vehicle runs properly, it does so without calling attention to itself. Thus, when strange noises occur, they stand out. You might hear pinging, hissing, and screeching sounds coming from under your hood; you may hear squealing or scraping coming from your brakes; or you might hear a slapping sound that proves nearly impossible to track down.

You may be surprised by the number of automotive problems you can troubleshoot simply by listening to the noises coming from your car. In this article, we'll provide a quick overview of the most common. While the following guide may not help you diagnose a failing alternator or catalytic converter, it will shed light on many other issues.

Screeching From Beneath The Hood

You turn the key in the ignition, hear your engine roar to life, and then hear a high-pitched screeching. The problem may be due to a loose drive belt. Long ago, most vehicles had several belts that powered various accessories and components. For example, your water pump had a belt; your alternator had a belt; your air conditioner had a belt; and your power steering pump had a belt.

Today, most vehicles are built with a single serpentine belt that powers these and other components. If it becomes loose, it can slip from its position. This causes screeching.

Hissing From Beneath The Hood

Hissing is relatively easy to troubleshoot. Nine out of ten times, the culprit is a cracked or loose hose. Your vehicle's cooling system - notably, the radiator - is supported by several of these hoses, which are made of rubber. Over time, the rubber deteriorates, and begins to crack. When this occurs, you'll hear hissing.

Because these hoses support the cooling system, they are critical to your engine's health. Fortunately, they're relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.

Pinging In The Engine

This is a problem that can be triggered by several factors. First, the octane of the fuel in your engine may be too low, leading to erratic or late ignition. Second, poor ignition timing can cause pinging. This often occurs when one or more spark plugs fire too soon. A third factor is your cooling system. If it is failing to control the temperature surrounding your engine, the rising heat can cause this sound.

If you hear pinging, use fuel with a higher octane rating. Also, check the coolant level and its temperature (look at the coolant gauge). If the level is fine, but the temperature is higher than normal, have a mechanic inspect the cooling system.

Muted Slapping Near The Road

This noise can be frustrating to track down since it only occurs when your vehicle is moving, and tends to disappear when you stop. It's a pulsing sound, similar to a heartbeat. It happens more quickly as you accelerate, and slows down when your speed declines. The problem is usually in the tires.

Occasionally, a foreign object will become caught in the treads, and cause the slapping sound. More commonly, it is caused by a tear or bubble that has developed in the rubber (often, the sidewall). Unless the noise is caused by something caught in one of the treads, the best solution is to replace the tire.

Squealing Or Scraping From The Brake System

If you hear squealing coming from your brakes, don't assume the brake pads have worn down, and need to be replaced. While this might be the case, the squeal can also be caused by vibrations, even with new brake pads. Have them inspected to make sure they are in good condition. If they are worn, replace them.

A scraping or grinding noise suggests an immediate problem. The sound typically occurs when worn brake pads rub against the rotors. The pads definitely need to be replaced. But if you wait too long, you'll risk allowing the rotors to become damaged. Replacing them is far more expensive.

Learn to recognize the noises your vehicle makes. If you notice any that are unusual, use the guide above to track down the root cause.

Fastes Car in the World

Have you ever wondered what the fastest car in the world is? Of course you need to determine if you are looking for the fastest overall car in the world or the fastest street legal car in the world. Here is some information about the fastest cars in the world that can be legally driven in most places.

Currently the crown goes to the SSC Ultimate Aero. It has a top speed of 257 miles per hour, but costs over $650,000. Second place belongs to the car that used to hold the crown, the Bugatti Veyron. The Bugatti Veyron has a top speed of 253 miles per hour but costs almost three times as much as the SSC Ultimate Aero. The Bugatti is priced at 1.7 million. Third on the list is the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, which sells for over $550,000 and clocks in with a top speed or 248 miles per hour. Finishing in a close fourth place at 245 miles per hour is the Koenigsegg CCX. Rounding out the top five fastest cars in the world is the McLaren F1. It tops out at 240 miles per hour with a price tag of just under one million dollars.

The bottom five of the top ten includes cars that I had actually heard of before writing this article. At number six is a Ferrari Enzo prices at over $650,000 with a top speed of 217 miles per hour. The Jaguar XJ220 is seventh, also at 217 miles per hour and it has a base price of $650,000. Number eight on the list with a top speed of 215 miles per hour is the Pagani Zonda F. It has a Mercedes Benz M180 V12 motor, which speaks highly for Mercedes Benz's' craftsmanship. Suprisingly to me, the first Lamborghini on the list doesn't show up until number nine. The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 has a base price under $500,000 and a top speed of 211 miles per hour. Rounding out the top ten at this time is the Porsche Carrera GT priced at just under $450,000 and running up to 205 miles per hour.

While it is fun to fantasize about speeding around town in one of these monsters topping 200 miles per hour, the sad fact is most of us won't ever pony up the money to own one. They are also impractical in many ways because where can you actually drive them close to their top speed without being in danger of getting killed, or at least arrested?

A step by step guide to find the best car prices

In the simplest terms, car dealerships' goal is to make as much of a profit from every car sale. On the other hand, when you buy a new car and as a customer, you want to save as much money as possible. This can become an intimidating aspect when it comes to make a decision at the time you want to buy a car.

As a fact, car dealers are quite smart when it comes to make a sell, let's face it, their daily business relays on selling cars, although, there might be a few tricks under the table for you too. You can get to know the same facts a dealership uses about a vehicle and even beyond, since in the long run, you hold the final word to what their objective is, a sale.

New Car Buying Guide

Below, you can find a useful list with a piece of advice for you to follow and get ready for that key moment, buying a car:

* Compare prices, you'll get to find the lowest price for the vehicle you are looking for.
* Keep your eye open; don't just research one specific type of car.
* Try researching a few outgoing models, since you might find a small difference between years, other than the price of a car.
* Compare and know what the average price of the car you're interested in is on the market.
* Get to know the options out there, financially speaking, before you actually make a purchase.
* Best prices and offers from dealerships will more likely be found at either the end of the month/year.
* Most times, we all have our doubts. Be stress free, remember, it's your money and you're the one who holds the final word. Don't rush yourself into something you're not quite sure of.
* If you feel pressure or discomfort from a dealer, you can kindly ask for some more time to think about it.
* Remember, there are many dealers out there, don't go head over heels for one new vehicle just yet, keep looking and compare.
* Always try to bargain down the car price including the dealer fees, not rebates nor incentives.
* Try not negotiating a trade-in before you actually have a final price upon both parties agreement.
* Don't fall for any add-ons or extras on a new car, after all, it's a brand new vehicle.
* Be firm with your budget and likes; don't let a dealer push you into something that you're not comfortable with.
* Try having a facts-cheat sheet at hand, these facts might make a difference at the time of buying and/or negotiating.
* Once you have reached a price agreement, discuss your options for a trade-in, cash rebates or any other incentives available.
* Don't rush into singing up a contract, before doing so, read the small print and ask as many questions as you might have. Bottom line is, learn as much as you can before buying a new vehicle. Once you know the facts, don't hesitate to push the car dealer for the lowest price he can offer. Dealer doesn't have to be in control if you don't allow him to; after all, you're the one that holds the last word.

Google Adsense Tip

If you're new to using Google AdSense to earn money with your website or blog, you may be wondering how to get more clicks, or get more money for each click. Thankfully, there are some excellent Google AdSense tips that can help you out, so let's look at some of the best:

Google AdSense Tip #1: Place your ad blocks above the fold. The "fold" of a webpage, is the spot where you have to start using your scroll bar to move down the page and continue reading. By placing your AdSense blocks above this part of the page, you're more likely to get clicks on those ads. This is because many website visitors never bother to scroll down, and brand new website users don't even know they can scroll down to see more content.

Google AdSense Tip #2: Weave your ads into the content. Most website owners put their AdSense ads off to the side, on the top or on the bottom. If people are reading an article or tutorial on your site though, you'll get more attention to your ads if the ad blocks are within that content instead of surrounding it.

Put an ad at the top left of the start of an article is an excellent position for instance, as is starting the article normally, then placing your Google AdSense block at the start of the second paragraph. Try to make sure the ads are to the left or right of the text too, so that the text actually flows around it instead of being above or below the ad block.

Google AdSense Tip #3: Use the large or medium sized square or rectangle ad blocks. The 250x250, the 300x250, and the 336x280 blocks all have the highest click through ratios, particularly when used in the positions noted above.

Google AdSense Tip #4: Blend your ads. If you're using a white background on your website pages, also use a white background on your Google AdSense blocks. Don't use a border around the ads, and make the ad titles and links blue. Most website users - particularly ones who are new to using the Internet - expect clickable links to be blue. So by making your Google AdSense ads also use blue for the titles and links, you'll increase the chances of getting clicks.

If however, your website is designed with a colored background - let's say green for example - then you'll want your Google AdSense blocks to have that same background color. And if your website uses orange links within the pages, then make your AdSense links orange as well.

The whole point of blending the ads in, is to make them look as if they're a natural part of the content.

Google AdSense Tip #5: Write one topic per page. When you focus the content on each page of your website, and really make it a narrow topic focus, you increase the chances of getting highly relevant, high paying keywords which match the content of that page.

Writing a page about dog training for instance, is fine of course but a bit too generic. Writing a page about potty training your puppy is a bit better, but writing a page specifically about potty training your golden retriever puppy is much better. Keep the topic as focused and on target as you can, then link to other related focused pages - such as potty training your german shepherd, rottweiler, etc. - throughout your site.

Using Google Adsense To Help You Earn Extra Money

Once you have decided that you would like to make some money on the Internet, it might be hard to try to figure out exactly how you can. One easy way to start off is to put Google AdSense on your website, if you have one. Google AdSense are the ads that you see on people’s websites where it says “ads by Google”, and also show up at the right hand side when you search on Google’s website. If you have a page with AdSense on it, and someone clicks on it, you will get paid for the click. It can be a simple way to earn some extra income on your website, or a way to start earning income.

If you already have a website, and traffic going to that website, you can easily get an AdSense account from Google, and add a few ads to your site. The great thing is that the ads will be on the same topic as your website is, so the person who is visiting your site has a good chance of being interested in the ad. If they are interested, and click on the ad, you will get paid for it.

If on the other hand you don’t have a website up, this can be a good time to start one. This shows you that you don’t even need to be selling a product in order to earn an income. If you have a lot of knowledge on a certain topic, you can start a website on that topic. You can get a domain name, hosting, and put up a lot of information on the topic that you are interested in, and know a lot about. You can then add the Google AdSense ads, and you will be able to make money.

If you have a lot of knowledge on a particular topic, but don’t want to spend any money at all, you can still use Google AdSense to earn money. There are many places you can start a blog for free, such as at Blogger. Here you will be able to start your blog completely for free, and still be able to earn income from AdSense, which is great. You will just have to put the time into getting all of the information about your topic so that other people will be interested in reading it. Another way to earn income from Google AdSense is to find a website that will share the income with you. There are many forums, or other sites like Squidoo that will share any income they earn through AdSense with you. So completely for free, you can set up a page or more with information, and end up earning money.

This is a great way for someone who is new to making money on the web to get started. It can be a very low cost (if you get your own domain and hosting), or even free to start, and you can start making money right away. While most clicks only give you a few cents here and there, they definitely add up, and before you know it you can be making a decent amount of money through Google AdSense!

Whats Google AdSense?

AdSense may be one of the fastest and easiest ways to monetize traffic to your web site whether you have products or services for sale or you simply provide free content to your visitors.

Simply stated, Google AdSense enables website operators to place some code on their site that connects to Googles ad server content database and pulls keyword-relevant advertising onto the web pages. The webmaster gets paid a percentage of the fee that Google receives from the advertiser every time a visitor clicks on an ad. There is no charge for the webmaster to participate in AdSense. All costs are covered by the advertiser who participates in the AdSense sister program called AdWords.

Googles sends out digital robots which use proprietary algorithms to parse the host web page and analyze the content in an effort to determine what keywords are relevant. It reports its findings back to Googles ad server which then serves ads matching those keywords. Given that the entire process is automated, the ad robots do a pretty good job of getting the advertising content right most of the time.

The History of Google AdSense

Google AdSense has its roots in the old Google Content-Targeted Advertising program which they introduced back in March of 2003. Although this program was similar in concept to AdSense, there was no automated way of participating. Each webmaster negotiated a deal directly with Google, and websites that served less than 20 million page views per month were not welcome to participate.

As Google grew, they began to see how much money they were leaving on the table by excluding the smaller sites, which greatly outnumbered the sites serving over 20 million hits that were willing to serve other peoples ads. Their answer to that problem was AdSense which has no minimum traffic requirements and is open to all sites meeting Googles content and decency requirements.

How much can you make running Google AdSense?

The answer to that question depends upon three factors:

1. How much traffic your site draws
2.How many visitors click on your ads
3.How much those ads pay per generated click

With some ads paying as much as $5 or more, its possible that you can generate a serious income with AdSense. There are relatively well documented cases of some people earning as much as $500 per DAY and more. Numbers like that are rare exceptions however. Even so, there is no reason why you cant earn somewhere around $1,000 per month, or more, once you get the hang of it.

How to get started using Google AdSense

Make a visit to Googles AdSense Site (https://www.google.com/adsense/) and sign up. Make sure that you read their Acceptable Use Policy and that you follow their content requirements. Google has their own AdSense Police who will have no problem booting you out of the program if you fail to walk the line.

Using Google AdSense on your site is like collecting free money. Theres no reason not to do it and potentially thousands of dollars worth of reasons to do it.
